The Village Cottage - Self Catering

Located in the heart of Bawnboy Village this delightful cottage is well equipped and decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen/dining room is fitted with electricity hob and oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer. There is oil central heating throughout the house. The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, an ensuite family room with a double and single bed and a main bathroom with shower. The cottage sleeps 7 people.

The Village Cottage has a large enclosed garden, private parking and secluded patio with barbecue at the rear of the Cottage. There is an open fire in the sitting room and an oil cooker in the living room. Both rooms have color TVs with a DVD player in the sitting room. Highchair and cot available free upon request. All linen and towels supplied.

Lying midway between the towns of Cavan and Enniskillen on the N87, the pretty village of Bawnboy is an ideal base from which to explore Cavan, and the North West of Ireland with its wealth of superb lakes, rivers and stunning unspoilt country side. The area offers excellent walking, golfing, fishing and horse riding. Other interesting attractions includes the Marble Arch Caves, the Shannon Pot, Beleek China and Florence Court House.

Just a short walk from the Cottage are grocery shops, pubs, hairdresser, beautician, post office and a playground. The Slieve Russell Hotel and Spa with its 18 hole Championship Golf Course is only a 10mins drive away. There is a wide choice of restaurants in the local area catering to everyone’s tastes.

The main Dublin/Donegal Bus route passes through Bawnboy. This also includes stops in both the towns of Cavan and Enniskillen.  Just a short drive out of the Village we have Bear Essential’s Showroom and Workshop which provides Handmade Gifts of Distinctive Design and Exceptional Quality.

In addition to weekly bookings beginning on Saturday, The Village Cottage accepts 7-night bookings beginning on either Friday or Sunday along with weekend & midweek stays.

Heating and Electricity are extra and payable upon departure.
Storage for bicycles, fishing tackle and bait is provided.
